Central Park Condominium is a project of Community Strategies LLC, and has been designed to creative 21 distinctive residences through an award winning historic restoration of the 1916 Central High School in the heart of Red Wing’s Historic Mall District. Based in the Twin Cities, Community Strategies LLC is a highly specialized community development and consulting firm with a combination of experience, skill sets and connections that allow for creative solutions to complex situations. The company was created in response to the growing number of business, real estate and community issues for which the owners were being asked to find solutions.

The Mission of Community Strategies LLC is to build community through the creation of environmentally and economically sustainable businesses and development projects

Community Strategies acts both as principal and advisors depending on the specific needs of individual projects. As a working team of professionals, Community Strategies selects projects where it can make a difference and achieve results that otherwise would go unrealized.

Support and financing for Central Park Condominiums has been provided through the Red Wing Area Fund, the City of Red Wing, Goodhue County, Associated Bank of Red Wing and through direct equity contributions of Community Strategies. The partners of Community Strategies are closely involved in the management, financing and marketing of Central Park Condominiums and are personally available to meet and discuss any questions interested parties may have.   • Creation of a unique housing community for individuals with special needs in Del Mar, CA

  • Acquisition, realignment, ownership and management of underutilized commercial / ware house property in Minneapolis, MN

  • Strategic realignment of business operations and underlying debt structure of commercial real estate in Minneapolis, MN

  • Facilitated the consolidation of principal Mid West film industry support businesses through strategic mergers and acquisitions in Minnesota

  • Creation of a 512 acre conservation oriented wilderness retreat community in North Central Minnesota.

The three principal participants in Community Strategies have extensive backgrounds in the areas of finance, corporate structuring, community planning and real estate development and management.

ANDRIS A. BALTINS -- Mr. Baltins has been a partner in the Minneapolis law firm of Kaplan, Strangis and Kaplan, P.A. since 1979. He practices business law, specializing in mergers and acquisitions. Before entering law practice, Mr. Baltins taught law at the Universidad de los Andes, Bogot, Colombia. Mr. Baltins is a member of the board of directors of Polaris Industries, Inc. (NYSE:PII), Affinity Group, Inc., FreedomRoads, LLC and Adams Outdoor Advertising, Inc. In addition, he is a director of various private and non-profit corporations, including the board of visitors of the Yale University School of Music. He was founding chairman of the critically acclaimed Jungle Theater in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In addition to practicing business law, Mr. Baltins has been a business entrepreneur in his own right. He formed and was the principal owner of Litl Radio Enterprises (radio broadcasting in Great Falls, Montana) and Mobius Press (specialty large format printing in Oakland, California). He was a founding principal in 28th and Hennepin, LLC (commercial real estate ownership and rental) and Community Strategies, LLC (real estate development). Mr. Baltins lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota and Del Mar, California.

GREG CUMMINS --
As the principal financial manager of Community Strategies and SE 9th & 9th, LLC a commercial real estate company that owns and manages industrial and commercial buildings in Minneapolis. Mr. Cummins has overseen the company's finances and managed a number of complex and highly successful transactions including business restructurings, historic restoration developments and commercial real estate operations. Greg Cummins helped shape the development of the motion picture industry in Minnesota and has been a business leader and founder of several related companies including; Lighthouse, Inc., Editronics and C&H Productions. As a nationally renowned director and editor he helped to create the Minnesota Film Board, was founder and president of the Independent Feature Project/North and a founding board member of the Jungle Theater.

GEORGE SUTTON --
Mr. Sutton has been working in real estate for more than twenty years. He first came to prominence with his leadership in the revitalization of the Lyn-Lake community of South Minneapolis and the establishment of permanent homes for cultural organizations in this area. In 1997 Mr. Sutton formed Sutton + Associates, a full service cultural and community-planning firm with the unique combination of creativity, experience, community leadership, and analytical expertise to carry major institutional initiatives from concept to reality. Sutton + Associates have successfully managed feasibility studies, operational planning, project conceptualization, and leadership cultivation efforts behind some of the country's biggest community revitalization initiatives. From several million dollar projects to major multi-million dollar ventures, Sutton +Associates has a proven track record of providing reliable, sound planning leadership to complex cultural projects.

MILLER-DUNWIDDIE ARCHITECTS -- The Development Team is excited to be working on this project with one of Minnesota's preeminent architectural firms, Miller-Dunwiddie. Miller-Dunwiddie is well know for their work in bringing new life to historic buildings, including their acclaimed work on the Minnesota State Capitol Building. Mr. Nordyke has worked successfully with Miller-Dunwiddie on three occasions restoring historic buildings like the 1916 Red Wing School project. RED WING CONSTRUCTION -- The Team is equally proud of its relationship with Red Wing Construction Company, one of the areas largest and most respected contractors. Owned by Red Wing resident Jeff Frost, Red Wing Construction is located just down the road from the project and will be able to give the redevelopment of this great building the close attention it deserves. Red Wing Construction has been involved in this project from day one, and has been instrumental in the design and costing to date.
